Terms and Conditions

Wilsons K9 Solutions | Last updated: 8 June 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking or engaging the services of Wilsons K9 Solutions. By making a booking or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

"We", "us", "our" refers to Wilsons K9 Solutions, operated by Neil Wilson, Woodbridge, Suffolk.

"You", "your", "the client" refers to the person booking or engaging our services.

"Services" refers to all dog training sessions, assessments, day training, and associated support provided by us.

"Agreement" refers to the contract formed between you and us upon booking confirmation.

2. Our Services

Wilsons K9 Solutions provides professional 1-to-1 dog training services in Suffolk, Norfolk, and North Essex, including:

Free Discovery Call (20-minute telephone or video consultation).

In-person Assessment Session.

Block training packages (4, 6, or 10 sessions).

Premium Foundation Package (including WhatsApp support and check-in sessions).

Day Training.

Individual sessions (where available).

Services are delivered in person at your home, a mutually agreed local environment, or at our training facility as appropriate.

3. Booking and Agreement

A booking is confirmed only when we have accepted your enquiry and confirmed the appointment in writing (by email or messaging). We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

By confirming a booking, you confirm that:

You are the owner or have the full authority of the owner to consent to training for the dog(s) involved.

You have provided accurate information about your dog's history, behaviour, and any known health conditions.

You understand and accept the nature of balanced dog training, which may include a range of training tools and techniques.

4. Assessment Session

All new clients are required to complete an in-person Assessment Session before a training programme begins. The assessment fee is £120.

Where you book a block package within 14 days of your assessment, the assessment fee will be credited — in full or in part — against your first block package, as agreed during your discovery call or assessment.

The assessment fee is non-refundable if you do not proceed with a training programme, except where we are unable to accommodate your dog for reasons outside your control.

5. Fees and Payment

All fees are as quoted at the time of booking or as agreed during your discovery call or assessment. Fees are subject to change and any changes will be communicated to you in advance.

Payment terms:

Fees for individual sessions and packages are due as invoiced.

We reserve the right to request payment in advance for block packages.

Where payment is not received in accordance with agreed terms, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel your programme.

We accept payment by bank transfer (BACS). Details will be provided on your invoice.

All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

By you: We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend ("no-show"), will result in that session being forfeited — no refund or credit will be given for late cancellations or no-shows.

By us: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a session, we will provide as much notice as possible and reschedule at the earliest mutually convenient time. We will not charge for sessions cancelled by us.

We reserve the right to cancel or suspend training where circumstances make it unsafe, impractical, or inappropriate to continue, including where a dog poses an unmanaged risk of harm.

7. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

Ensure your dog is up to date with core vaccinations and is in a suitable state of health to participate in training.

Inform us of any health conditions, injuries, or significant changes in your dog's behaviour before sessions.

Follow guidance and homework exercises between sessions to support your dog's progress.

Ensure a responsible adult is present during all in-home training sessions.

Provide a safe and suitable environment for training sessions conducted at your property.

Keep your dog under appropriate control at all times outside of structured training exercises.

Not allow children to engage with training exercises without explicit guidance from us.

8. Dog Health and Fitness

You confirm that your dog is physically and mentally fit to participate in training. We are not liable for any health issues that arise during or after training that are attributable to a pre-existing condition you have not disclosed to us.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue training if we believe a dog is unwell, in pain, or otherwise unfit to participate. In such cases, we will advise you to seek veterinary advice.

9. Aggression and Bite History

If your dog has a history of aggression or biting, you must disclose this in full before any session takes place. Failure to disclose a known bite history is a serious breach of these Terms and Conditions and may result in immediate termination of the agreement without refund.

All severe and complex behaviour cases, including dogs with a bite history, are assessed individually for suitability before training commences. We reserve the right to decline to work with any dog where we believe the risk cannot be managed safely.

By engaging our services for a dog with known aggression or bite history, you accept full legal responsibility for any incident involving your dog, and confirm that you have appropriate third-party liability insurance where required.

10. Liability and Disclaimer

Dog training involves inherent risks for the dog, owner, trainer, and third parties. While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and welfare of all parties, you acknowledge these inherent risks and engage our services accordingly.

We will not be liable for:

Any injury to you, your dog, third parties, or property arising from your failure to follow our instructions or implement training correctly.

Any incident occurring outside of a supervised training session.

Loss or damage arising from your dog's behaviour before, during, or after the training programme.

Any indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

We strongly recommend that all dog owners maintain appropriate pet insurance and public liability cover. You are responsible for ensuring your dog is covered by adequate insurance.

11. Results and Outcomes

We are committed to delivering the highest standard of professional dog training. However, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results. The success of any training programme depends on a number of factors including, but not limited to, your dog's individual temperament, health, history, and the consistency with which training is applied between sessions.

Our obligation is to deliver training sessions with reasonable skill and care, not to guarantee a particular behavioural outcome.

12. Confidentiality

We will treat all information you share with us about your dog, your household, and your circumstances with discretion and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may use anonymised case information or testimonials (with your consent) for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website and social media. We will never share identifiable information about you or your dog without your explicit consent.

13. Photography and Testimonials

We may occasionally ask for your permission to photograph or video your dog during sessions for use on our website or social media. This will always be requested in advance and will not be done without your explicit consent.

If you provide a testimonial or review, you grant us permission to reproduce this in our marketing materials (in whole or in summary) unless you request otherwise.

14. Intellectual Property

All training materials, resource guides, written content, and programmes provided to you are the intellectual property of Wilsons K9 Solutions. They are provided for your personal use only and must not be reproduced, shared commercially, or distributed without our written consent.

15. Termination

Either party may terminate the training agreement by giving reasonable notice. In such cases:

You will be entitled to a refund for any sessions paid for but not yet delivered, except where termination follows a breach of these Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to terminate without refund where you have materially breached these Terms (including failure to disclose a bite history, abusive behaviour towards us, or persistent failure to follow safety guidance).

16. Complaints

We take all complaints seriously and are committed to resolving concerns promptly and fairly. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us in the first instance at [email protected].

We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to provide a resolution within 28 days.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on our website. Continued engagement with our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
