Training structured around you and your dogs circumstances.

Serving Suffolk, Norfolk & North Essex

In-person sessions at your home or local environment.

Helping dog owners become calm, confident leaders

so their dog feels safe, understood, and is a

joy to live with.

Because great behaviour starts with better communication and a dog who finally understands what you need from them.

What are you looking to work on?

Every dog and owner is different.

Whether you're dealing with a specific challenge or want to build solid all-round foundations,

there's a programme designed around your circumstances.

Loose Lead

Walking

Dragging you down the street? We'll build calm, controlled walking that you and your dog actually enjoy.

Recall & Off-Lead

Control

A reliable recall is one of the most important skills your dog can have — and one of the most achievable with the right approach.

Obedience & Life

Skills

From basic commands to real-world manners, we'll build the foundations that make everyday life calmer and more enjoyable.

Reactivity & Behaviour Modification

Lunging, barking, or struggling around other dogs or people? We'll work on the root causes, not just the symptoms.

Severe & Complex Behaviour Cases

For dogs with serious behavioural challenges, including aggression and bite history. All cases are assessed individually for suitability before we begin.

How we work together

All training starts with a conversation. Here's how the process works from first contact to lasting results.

1. Book a Free Discovery Call - 20 Minutes

We start with a no-obligation phone call to talk through your dog's behaviour, your goals, and what life looks like day to day. There's no hard sell - just honest conversation to see if we're the right fit.

2. In-Person Assessment Session - £120

Before any training begins, I come to you for a full assessment session. I observe your dog in their environment, identify the root causes behind the behaviour, and build a clear plan tailored to your specific circumstances.

Part or all of your Assessment Fee is credited towards your first block package when you book within 14 days.

3. You See Results

Based on the assessment, we agree on the right block package for you and your dog. Every session is 1 Hour 20 Minutes - 20 minutes reviewing wins, setbacks and questions, followed by a hands on coaching and training with you and your dog.

All block packages and prices will be discussed during the call

Day Training

Busy Schedule?

Let me put the foundations on your dog while you get non with your day.

Day Training is ideal for owners who want real progress made on their dog's behaviour but can't always commit to regular session times. Your dog spends the day with me at my training facility, where they receive structured training, walks, and feeding — all tailored to their individual needs.

At the end of the day, we sit down together for a full 60-minute handover so you understand exactly what was worked on, what your dog responded to, and what to practise at home to keep the progress going.

Drop-off and collection is flexible — drop your dog at my premises and collect at the end of the day, or I can collect and return your dog to your home. A combination of both works too.

Why won't my dog listen to me, no matter what I try?

You're not alone, and it's not your fault.

Many dogs just need clearer communication and more consistent guidance. With the right training tools and techniques, your dog can absolutely learn to respond and focus - even around distractions.

Image

I'm feeling overwhelmed. I don't know where to start.

It's okay to feel stuck - that's why I'm here. Whether your dog is brand new or has years of habits behind them, I'll help you break things down into manageable steps and create a personalised plan that works for your liefstyle.

I'm worried training will change my dog's personality.

Training doesn't suppress your dog's personality - it brings out the best in them. Balanced training builds trust, confidence, and clarity, so your dog can thrive while still being 100% themselves.

We've tried trainers before and nothing worked.

Not all training methods are created equal. I use a modern, balanced approach that blends structure, compassion, and positive reinforcement - tailored to your dog's unique needs. Many of my clients come to me after other methods fell short.

I just want to enjoy walks without being dragged down the street.

Loose leash walking is possible - and actually enjoyable. Through calm, structured training, you and your dog can finally look forward to peaceful, stress-free walks together.

What You’ve Probably Heard About Dog Training
(and Why It’s Not Helping)

❌ Myth: Some dog breeds just can't be trained.

Fact: All dogs—regardless of breed—learn using the same basic principles. Some might be more driven by food, toys, or movement, but at the core, every dog can learn. It’s not about the breed—it’s about understanding what motivates your individual dog.

❌ Myth: If you missed the puppy window, it's too late.

Fact: While it’s true that early training can help prevent problems, adult dogs are absolutely capable of learning new skills and behaviors. It might take a bit more consistency and patience, but change is always possible with a solid plan.

❌ Myth: Reactivity takes months or years to fix.

Fact: Reactivity often looks complex, but the fundamentals behind it are simple. The reason it can take forever is because many training methods focus on things that look like progress but don’t actually address the root causes. Real progress comes from fulfilling your dog’s needs, building clear communication, and exposing them to the world in the right way.

❌ Myth: You should never say "No" to your dog.

Fact: Teaching your dog what behaviors aren’t okay is just as important as teaching what is. Saying “No” in a fair, consistent way creates clarity—not confusion or fear. Ignoring problem behavior doesn’t make it go away; it often makes it worse.

❌ Myth: More socialization is always the answer.

Fact: Letting your dog meet endless new dogs won’t fix reactivity or poor behavior. True socialization isn’t about quantity—it’s about quality. A dog who lacks boundaries, purpose, or emotional regulation won’t become more balanced just by meeting more dogs.

I know these myths sound convincing — trust me I believed them too at one point. I kept thinking that eventually, it would all “click.” Spoiler alert: it didn’t. And the reason?

A lot of the most popular dog training advice online is designed to go viral, not to solve problems.
It’s emotionally charged, feels good to believe, and triggers strong opinions—but it doesn’t move the needle when it comes to helping your dog.

"If you're stuck, you are not alone - and you are not doing anything wrong. You probably just need better information ... and a plan that actually works for you and your dog."

My Training Philosophy

I believe dogs should get to be dogs.

They should be able to sniff, play, explore, and enjoy life without feeling like they're constantly being corrected

—or like you have to micromanage their every move.

That’s why my focus is on creating freedom through structure.
When your dog understands the rules, they earn more freedom—and you can actually relax and enjoy life together.

Less stress. More trust. Happier walks. That’s what balanced training is all about.

My life

“I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. My first family dog was Rufus, a King Charles Spaniel with a naturally easy-going temperament. While he never had formal training, he stayed close and was a wonderful early reminder of how much a dog’s behaviour is shaped by connection, routine and calm guidance.

Over the years I’ve owned and lived alongside Cocker Spaniels, Terriers and Weimaraners. Ultimately, it was Buddy — my Sprocker Spaniel — who set me on the path to professional dog training.

Buddy came to me at 11 months old with a long list of challenges: intense lead pulling, chasing cars and wildlife, counter-surfing, and guarding anything he considered valuable. He was also dog-reactive when approached too closely and had a history of biting. The only habit he didn’t have was chewing! Working through those behaviours safely and fairly transformed not only Buddy, but my understanding of what’s possible with the right approach. That experience is what motivated me to train professionally — to help owners turn difficult behaviour into calm, reliable habits and rebuild confidence at both ends of the lead.”

Education

“After committing to dog training as a career, I completed Will Atherton’s six-month Advanced Canine Behaviour programme to build a strong foundation in behaviour, learning theory and practical application.

I remain committed to continual professional development and have since learned from some of the industry’s most respected trainers, including Michael Ellis, Ivan Balabanov, Jamie Penrith and Jacob Morgan. I consistently invest in seminars, workshops, books and online training to refine my approach and deliver the best possible outcomes for dogs and their owners.”

My Hobbies

“Outside of dog training, I’m passionate about my horses and consider myself a cowboy at heart. I also practise Iaido, a traditional Japanese martial art rooted in the samurai sword.

Both have shaped the way I work: calm focus, clear communication and consistency — even under pressure.”
