Some dog breeds just can't be trained.
All dogs—regardless of breed—learn using the same basic principles. Some might be more driven by food, toys, or movement, but at the core, every dog can learn. It’s not about the breed—it’s about understanding what motivates your individual dog.
If you missed the puppy window, it's too late.
While it’s true that early training can help prevent problems, adult dogs are absolutely capable of learning new skills and behaviours. It might take a bit more consistency and patience, but change is always possible with a solid plan.
Reactivity takes months or years to fix.
Reactivity often looks complex, but the fundamentals behind it are simple. The reason it can take forever is because many training methods focus on things that look like progress but don’t actually address the root causes. Real progress comes from fulfilling your dog’s needs, building clear communication, and exposing them to the world in the right way.
You should never say "NO" to your dog.
Teaching your dog what behaviours aren’t okay is just as important as teaching what is. Saying “No” in a fair, consistent way creates clarity—not confusion or fear. Ignoring problem behavior doesn’t make it go away; it often makes it worse.
More socialisation is always the answer.
Letting your dog meet endless new dogs won’t fix reactivity or poor behaviour. True socialisation isn’t about quantity—it’s about quality. A dog who lacks boundaries, purpose, or emotional regulation won’t become more balanced just by meeting more dogs.

Sometimes, a little more hands-on support can help strengthen the foundations you and your dog have been working on.
Day Training gives your dog focused training time with me, working towards individually agreed goals such as better engagement, calmer lead walking, recall foundations and everyday manners. Individual training sessions are balanced with rest periods and opportunities to unwind.
It can be a useful next step after completing a Wilsons K9 Solutions programme. New clients may also be considered following a free discovery call and an assessment.
Built around your dog
Before offering a place, I consider your dog’s behaviour, training needs and ability to settle comfortably in my care. Where suitable, training may involve carefully selected dogs, following assessment and always under supervision.
You remain part of the process. A practical handover and clear guidance help you continue the work at home, with handover arrangements tailored for returning clients.
Available by discussion
Places depend on my availability and the number and needs of the dogs already in my care. We’ll discuss suitability, dates and arrangements together, and you’ll receive a personalised quote before booking.
If a suitable place isn’t available, you can join the waiting list.
As with 1-2-1 sessions, every day training package begins with your £95 assessment.
Pricing is discussed on your discovery call, tailored to your dog's programme.
